Of Mice and Men

George and Lennie have a relationship that no one in this time has heard of; they live, they work, and they help each other. George has grown fond of Lennie mainly because Lennie needs him to take care of him, without George Lennie would panic and probably be killed.

This is a beautiful novel showing how hard the Great Depression was on people that lived like George and Lennie, even to find a job was hard enough and to get paid a fair amount for the work they did was unheard of. But they managed to scrape by with the force that has kept America from falling to its knees many times over, hope and dreams.

They both have a dream to have they're own farm one day, to live off the fat of the land, and to lay back and relax knowing that they are in control of their destiny which is a huge factor compared to where they are.

John Steinbeck did a great job in portraying the life of two traveling men in the early depression.

Reflection of my Sophomore Year

This year has been a quick, long, fast, and drug out year. I have learned many things this year that I did not think I would have had that privilege of learning. I am looking ever more ahead to college and even my carreer after that, I know that I will use many of the things that I have learned.
The best quality or gift that I have gained this year is the ability to think through things unlike I have been before, thanks to all my teachers for working with me all year and I hope everybody has a good summer!!!

Without Fail by Lee Child

Lee Child is one of the most acclaimed thriller novel writers out there. He gives amazing detail along with plenty of action to keep a reader hooked throughout the story.

Child uses a constant shift between Jack Reacher, the main character, and whoever is against him in any way or form. This shift keeps the reader informed from both points of view, through Jack's eyes and the villain's eyes.

Without Fail is an astonishingly thrilling novel about assasinating the Vice President elect, the only thing is that the assasins didn't count on Jack Reacher being in he mix.
