Sentence a Day Sentence #1

His Sentence:
Inside the room, a large, square, windowless place known unofficially as the bunker, the Director was sitting alone, looking blankly at a large screen upon which the face of Congressman Aaron Lake was frozen.

A longer sentence using parallel structure and shorter appositive phrases to emulate the Director's loneliness and seclusion in his determination in looking at his suspect.

My Sentence:
At the ballpark, a diamond shaped, brightly lit, enormous stadium with an atmosphere of entertainment, the baseball players fought for 2 hours through nine grueling innings with the purpose of beating the other team by scoring as many runs as possible.
